We Are Kimberley Workshop

 In Uncategorised

On Friday, February 15, the Kimberley zone had 14 classroom teachers (K-12) and 8 community educators come together for a day focused on creating community connections, exploring connections across the curriculum, and creating inquiry projects. Participants took part in a few outdoor activities, as well as a fireside discussion about challenges and opportunities. They explored connections across the K-12 Science and Social Studies curriculums and networked with other teachers and community educators to explore rich learning opportunities for our students. The result from this day was a lot of energy and excitement about creating community connections and place-based learning! They will continue these discussions during their next EE walk on Monday, March 4 (theme is Sensory Awareness) and over Green Drinks in April.

CBEEN is pleased to support the work of the Rocky Mountain Place-based Network EEPSA Local Chapter in coordinating these amazing opportunities for educators!
