Every Child Matters 2022-2023 Year-Long Learning Challenge

CBEEN acknowledges that Indigenous Knowledge and Perspectives are foundational to environmental education, and that we cannot engage in this without undertaking a personal and meaningful learning journey towards Truth and Reconciliation.

From October 2022 – June 2023, we invite you to join us on this 4 Seasons of Reconciliation learning challenge in partnership with Rocky Mountain School District 6, the First Nations University of Canada and Reconciliation Education. Through this partnership we are pleased to offer an anti-racist learning opportunity that aligns with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action.

This year-long learning challenge will offer participants:

A monthly learning module to be completed individually online (20 -30 minutes/month)
Suggestions for extending your learning in these areas of learning (optional)
A monthly optional opportunity to gather virtually with Indigenous leaders to learn more about the topic that the module focuses on (30-60 minutes/month)
A Certificate of Completion from the First Nations University of Canada

While registration for this year’s challenge is for individuals (not organizations) we encourage organizations which are committed to this work to cover the cost to allow your staff to attend, and make time each month (~60 minutes/month) to undertake this important work.
Complete the online registration form located directly below. Once submitted, you should receive a confirmation of receipt in your email.
Within 1 week your registration will be sent to Reconciliation Education, and they will send you a welcome email with a link to access the course within 3 days.
When clicking the course access link for the first time, you will be prompted to set a unique password for your account. Once this is done, you will have immediate access to the course.
As soon as you gain access, please go in and complete the ‘Before you Begin’ and Let’s Get Started’ steps, and then catch up on any modules so that you’re on pace with the group.
By completing the registration form, you agree to be added to the course and to have your contact information shared with First Nations University of Canada and Reconciliation Education.
