Youth Leadership Opportunities
Opportunities taking place inside the Columbia Basin:
For Teens 15-18 year old wishing to be a Camp Counsellor. Two weeks of exciting outdoor leadership activities, back-country training, get certified with HIGH FIVE Principals of Healthy Childhood Development and become a part of a tightly knit team of outdoor enthusiasts! Embark on a three-day wilderness expedition where your team works together to plan, pack, cook and navigate your way through the back-country.
Our customized Leadership Workshops encourage participants to personally challenge themselves. Our setting exposes youth to new activities, skills and adventure that foster growth and leadership. Our staff are experts in leading activities that build trust, communication and set the tone for strong team-building.
During this seven-day wilderness adventure, participants ages 14-18 will develop outdoor survival and leadership skills, work with their team to navigate the back country, survive the elements and test new skills on an off-site winter camping trip. Participants will learn how to trip plan, navigate, build a shelter, manage risk in the back country while ultimately developing their leadership skills.
