Job Summary
The Communications Manager oversees all internal and external communications for the Local store. They will ensure consistent, timely, and values-aligned messaging. This multi-faceted and engaging role blends marketing, digital skill development, community outreach, and operational communication support.
This position also includes tasks to support Wildsight Elk Valley–a non profit organization–in their seasonal and ongoing projects. The Communications Manager would provide essential support for Wildisight’s seasonal programs, including the educational initiatives Little Sprouts, the Tool Share, Keeping Food Real (KFR) and other community-focused activities and ongoing projects.
This seasonal position is sponsored in-part by the Canada Summer Jobs Grant and is intended for a current student (can be between semesters/terms), between the ages of 15 and 30 years old. Due to the nature of the grant, this position is funded for 8 consecutive weeks during the busiest season for Local and Wildsight Elk Valley branch.
