BOOK A WILD VOICES FOR KIDS PROGRAM!

Due to recent CBEEN program funding changes, we will now offer price options for Wild Voices for Kids programs.

Please select the price option that suits your needs, knowing that some schools don’t have access to the financial resources that others do.

We ask that teachers ensure that a program does not violate their school and/or district policies before booking.  It is the responsibility of the teacher to confirm program suitability and communicate needs and questions to the Community Educator that is delivering the program.

About the Program
The Teachings of Trees program will share with students the many lessons that plants and trees teach us about our selves, the earth and its role in climate regulation. Students will also learn how to identify trees using common, scientific and indigenous names by referring to guide books and will learn about some of their special uses. By participating in group and pair share activities, students will learn the tree parts and functions as well as the deeper role root systems and mycelium (fungi) play in trees communication and survival.

The Teachings of Trees program will take place outdoors and will be interactive, engaging, and will help students develop a deeper and more thoughtful understanding of the role trees and plants have on our ecosystem health.
