About the Program
This program is perfect to inform students what is going on in their forests. We will talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly in an informative, fun, and creative nature walk. We will explore the forest and identify trees, look for diseases, pests, beetles, take tree samples, look for tree anomalies, listen to stories/legends with a range of investigation types. The students will get an opportunity to see and hold a beetle, the size of a grain of rice who has wiped out thousands upon thousands of hectares of forests. This program is an overall program to get students excited to learn and desire to learn more about the forests by discovering things they've never seen before.
This program may be booked as a 1 hour, half-day and full-day program. All programs include an interactive lesson that may be done in class or outdoors. The longer half-day and full-day programs provide further exploration of the program topic in a nearby natural space.

"Darcee is one of the best story teller's I have come across with! She is fantastic at captivating the students and is a real treat to have someone share a book that was written by her self, which helps students be motivated in doing their own writing as well! " - Veronika Chapman
