You are registered for the Cross Curricular Outdoor, Experiential Teaching and Learning Workshop!
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, February 9 from 9:00am – 3:00pm at in the Columbia Room at the West Kootenay Teacher Education Program Building in Nelson. We will spend the morning at the WKTEP classroom and then carpool out to a nearby outdoor setting in the afternoon. Please bring your own snacks, drinks and lunch, and dress to enjoy time outdoors.
This workshop is hosted by WKTEP in partnership with the Kootenay Lake Local Chapter of EEPSA, and supported by the Columbia Basin Environmental Education Network (CBEEN).
This workshop will help to increase your capacity as an environmental educator with current research, tried and tested activities and the opportunity to network with and learn from your colleagues. We will focus on cross-curricular links, STEAM projects, core competencies, career education and ADST. We will discuss social, emotional and community building, we will consider Indigenous ways of knowing/storytelling assessment, and you will leave with tangible “do tomorrow” type activities!
We look forward to seeing you on February 9th!
