BC Parks Foundation – Manager, Communications and Media Relations
BC Parks Foundation (BCPF) is the official charitable partner and conservation financing mechanism to British Columbia’s world-class system of parks and Indigenous protected areas. Our role is to build a diverse and active community of support. Our mission is to create the greatest system of parks and Indigenous protected areas in the world.
The Manager, Communications & Media Relations plays a central role in raising the visibility, trust, and impact of BCPF through storytelling, earned media, and cross-platform content that connects with diverse audiences.
The successful candidate will lead BCPF’s media relations function and is responsible for identifying, pitching, and securing compelling stories across legacy, digital, and social channels—going from CBC to TikTok without breaking stride. The Manager brings a journalism mindset and multimedia flair to engage the public in protecting nature and promoting outdoor recreation, while building strong relationships with reporters, influencers, and content collaborators. They also work across teams to shape storylines that elevate key campaigns, ensure timely and relevant media positioning, and contribute to sector-leading share of voice and engagement results.
