About the Program
Students will explore the wee-world of insects in their own backyard! With fun games and an engaging scavenger hunt, the educator will help bring students to a place where they better understand what an insect is, what good it does for the Earth, and how we can take better care of them. This program is designed to be between 1-1.5 hours depending on the amount of traveling required to outdoor locations.
About the Community Educator
Beth loves sharing her love for the outdoors with other people and passing on good stewardship practices to younger generations. She has a BSc in Biological Sciences and a MSc in Environmental Sciences, and for the past 8 years has been teaching everything from rock climbing for kids to microclimatology in university laboratories, but by far her favourite is to teach an appreciation for the natural world!
