About the Program
Mighty Myotis will come into any classroom to describe the life of a local bat.  Adjustable to any grade level, details about bat physiology, ecology, benefits and "fascinating facts" will focus on bats found in Golden but mention the incredible diversity of this group of animals around the world.  A craft helps to round out the time.  We can leave a "bat cave" and school library and paper page resources for the classroom for follow-up.

We use interesting props and activities to reinforce concepts of echolocation, adaptation and ecology.

About the Community Educator
Joyce loves where she lives and enthusiastically shares her knowledge of the critters and plants that inhabit the Columbia Valley. She believes in looking for the wonder of nature close to home: backyards, local parks and even the playground. And she's very fond of bats!
