Term Part-time (65%) Education Assistant Program Instructor

Duties:  The Education Assistant (EA) program at the College of the Rockies is a 10-month program that prepares students for a career in supporting students with diverse needs in K-12 classrooms.

You will provide instruction and learner support to students in the Education Assistant (EA) Program. The EA program combines theoretical and practical knowledge development and as the instructor you may be required to teach in both on-line and face to face formats, including some curriculum development. Practicum and supervision is also a requirement of the instructor’s role.

Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Education is preferred.  A Bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on special education will be considered. Experience teaching adults in on-line and face to face formats is a definite asset. Candidates must have excellent communication and recording skills, be able to work with minimum supervision, and be resourceful and flexible in meeting adult learning needs.

Salary: As per the Faculty Salary Schedule and depending on qualifications, instructional and related work experience, the salary for term, part-time (65%) employees is in a range from $3,647 – $5,860 per month (this includes 16% in lieu of vacation).
