About the Program
During this presentation we will explore and compare three different local habitat areas. Through story and interactive discussion we'll answer:
- What lives in the local area?
- What is a habitat and what types of habitats do we have in the local area
- What edible plants, fruits/berries/veg, grow in the area and what does not, and why? Students will assemble sensory exploration kits (with mostly recycled materials), walk through three habitat areas collecting samples from each and play a blind-folded game with their findings.
