This school year, the first 200 teachers to become CBEEN members were guaranteed one complimentary program! If you have an active CBEEN teacher membership from the fall, you can still redeem your complimentary program with bussing reimbursement up to $250.
At the present time, we are no longer distributing complimentary programs for new members, however, all programs are available for booking at the subsidized rates listed.

About the Program
Exploring the identity and ecology of fungi in our environment. Learn how to identify edible and poisonous mushrooms. Students will gain an understanding of the functional roles of fungi in the ecosystem. In-class presentation followed by field trip to look for mushrooms in season.
About the Community Educator
Tyson Ehlers works as an ecologist in the Slocan Valley with a background in Forestry. Tyson has always been interested in nature and all it provides, not just the timber, but all of the values we derive from forests. He enjoys the thrill of hunting for wild mushrooms, as they are a perfect excuse for a walk in the woods.
