Teachers who are current CBEEN members may access one complimentary program for their classroom in the school year. Teacher members can redeem their complimentary program with bussing reimbursement up to $250. Up to 200 complimentary programs are available annually to teachers across the Basin on a first-come, first-serve basis.

About the Program
This is an opportunity to let students be involved in the planning and creation of a sustainable organic garden as an outdoor classroom at the school. Students will be mapping, studying, designing and creating an edible, native plant organic garden on their school grounds. We will looking at composting, a no-dig permaculture garden, mapping and design (creating the garden layout) and growing the plants to go in the outdoor classroom.
About the Community Educator
Shannon Bennett has a Bsc in Earth Sciences and has been working in environmental education since the early 80's as a Park Naturalist in Alberta and BC Parks. She loves to inspire, engage, connect, and motivate students to discover and explore their wild local bioregions, to develop curiosity, knowledge, awareness and appreciation of where they live.
