Teachers who are current CBEEN members may access one complimentary program for their classroom in the school year. Teacher members can redeem their complimentary program with bussing reimbursement up to $250. Up to 200 complimentary programs are available annually to teachers across the Basin on a first-come, first-serve basis.

About the Program
A Bio-Regional Plant and Tree Discovery Program: Discover a bounty of amazing plants that you can eat, drink or use to heal everyday ailments. Join us and investigate the rich world of wild botanicals that will spruce up your knowledge of what's growing around you. We have a wild tea party, so bring a cup! Games and shared activities will last approximately 2 hours and can be easily adapted to a forest or meadow near your school.
About the Community Educator
Shannon Bennett has a Bsc in Earth Sciences and has been working in environmental education since the early 80's as a Park Naturalist in Alberta and BC Parks. She loves to inspire, engage, connect, and motivate students to discover and explore their wild local bioregions, to develop curiosity, knowledge, awareness and appreciation of where they live.
